Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) is the material of choice for steel fenders and other heavy-duty applications. It combines extremely low friction, excellent impact strength and wear resistance far superior to steel. Has higher durability. The standard color is black, but if other colors are required, there are yellow, white, gray, blue, green and red. The UHMW-PE material is compounded to resist ozone and ultraviolet radiation.
